Frequently Asked Questions

These are frequently asked question about the TOP TEN system for finding recreation vehicles.

What is a RV TOP TEN list?

When purchasing an RV, there are dozens of features that are involved in the decision making. Many features have a trade off, i.e., getting one means that you many have to give up another. As such, it is difficult to find an RV model that has all of the things that are important to you.

One of the most popular methods for finding an RV that will work for you is to jot down all the features that are important to you. Then order them by priority, placing the most important to you at the top. Then, take the TOP TEN from that list and use it to evaluate any RV that you're looking at.

Most experienced RV'ers will agree that if you can get eight of the items on your TOP TEN list, then that is the RV for you!

Is RV4.US owned by an RV Manufacturer?

No, RV4.US is completely independent. In addition, the algorithm used to analyze your TOP TEN list does not have any capability to be weighted for any particular manufacturer, brand or model.

Why does RV4.US show a feature, but models I see don't have it?

In order to capture all the possible features that an RV Model / Year may have had, RV4.US had to include a feature, even if it was only optional for that year. We felt this was necessary, as you will find new or used models that either have the feature installed or not.

If you are ordering a new RV, we recommend that you show the dealer the TOP TEN list that you used to find the particular model. That way, the salesperson can make sure that any optional features needed to fulfill your TOP TEN are included.
